Troilite Subnautica 2 Preparation

Before following a Troilite Subnautica 2 route, progress the campaign until the Alien Ruins and Research Outpost path is available. Bring a Tadpole for the long trip, enough depth capability for deeper checks, and a Sonic Resonator for mining the green deposits.

Inventory space matters more than usual here. One source shows a dropped piece disappearing after the inventory was full, and the creator warns that losing limited Troilite could affect late Early Access progression. Empty your inventory before breaking deposits.

Life Pod to Research Outpost Troilite Subnautica 2 Route

Use this Troilite Subnautica 2 location route if you are starting from the Life Pod instead of already sitting at the Alien Ruins. Travel east toward the alien tower and Research Outpost path. When crossing the Collector Leviathan area, one video recommends staying high and even moving above the water where possible to reduce danger.

After reaching the Research Outpost area, turn right and continue east. Move down toward the Angel Comb area, pass the Angel Comb, and follow the stalk or ground path deeper. This route eventually leads into the same deeper Troilite search zone used by the shorter outpost routes.

1. Start at the Life Pod.
2. Travel east toward the Alien Ruins and alien tower.
3. Stay high near the Collector Leviathan crossing when possible.
4. Reach the Research Outpost route and continue down toward the base area.
5. Turn right and keep moving east.
6. Pass the Angel Comb and follow the stalk-like ground path deeper.
7. Watch for aggressive fish and depth limits before leaving the Tadpole.

Research Outpost Troilite Subnautica 2 Location

The simplest Troilite Subnautica 2 route starts at the Research Outpost in the Alien Ruins. Face roughly 105 degrees east and travel down toward the Angel Cove or Angel Comb landmark. Once you reach that landmark, look northeast and follow the path into the greener terrain.

Search for ore with green material attached to it. These Troilite deposits are not collected by hand at first; mine them with the Sonic Resonator, pick up the dropped pieces, then continue toward the green pools and nearby walls for more deposits.

1. Start at the Research Outpost.
2. Face about 105 degrees east.
3. Travel down toward Angel Cove / Angel Comb.
4. At the landmark, look northeast and follow the path.
5. Enter the green mineral area.
6. Find Troilite deposits with green material attached.
7. Break each deposit with the Sonic Resonator and collect the drops.

Green Pools and Metal Farm Troilite Subnautica 2 Farm

For a broader Troilite Subnautica 2 farm route, continue east to east-northeast from the Alien Ruins route. Pass the alien structure, keep moving toward the ship landmark, then go left of the ship until the metal farm structures come into view.

Move to the left side and descend toward the other side of the green pool / metal farm area. The videos show Troilite scattered around green pools, walls, ledges, and the far side of the area. One guide says the mineral appears more commonly on that far side, so check both sides before leaving.

1. From the Alien Ruins or Research Outpost route, move east to east-northeast.
2. Pass the alien structure and continue toward the ship landmark.
3. Go left of the ship.
4. Use the metal farm structures as your next anchor.
5. Descend along the left side toward the other side of the area.
6. Search green pools, walls, ledges, and scattered deposits.
7. Mine every green Troilite deposit with the Sonic Resonator.

How to Mine and Preserve Troilite Subnautica 2

Once you find a Troilite Subnautica 2 deposit, park the Tadpole close, equip the Sonic Resonator, break the green mineral, and pick up the pieces immediately. If your inventory is full, make room before firing so the drop does not get lost.

Because the videos warn that Troilite may not respawn reliably, preserve at least one piece. Scan or build metal farms when available, then use that saved Troilite as the material you can reproduce rather than spending every piece at once.
