Necrolei Cyst Subnautica 2 is the plant resource used to make Strong Acid. The three source videos point north of the Lifepod toward the same broader progression chain: find the purple cyst plants, harvest them with the Multi-Tool, scan the Processor at Welcome Home Base, then process the cysts into Strong Acid.

The cysts are not loose rocks on the seabed. They grow on Stilt Orb-style plants, hairy tentacle plants, and purple pod growths, so the route becomes much easier once you are looking for the plant shape instead of a small pickup marker.

Necrolei Cyst Subnautica 2 Preparation

Bring the Multi-Tool before starting any Necrolei Cyst route. The videos show the cysts being plucked from plant pods with the Multi-Tool, so you can reach the correct biome and still fail the harvest if you leave it behind.

The shortest cyst route is shallow compared with deep mid-game materials, but you still need oxygen management. A bigger oxygen tank, Wakemaker, Air Bladder, or nearby vehicle makes the trip safer. ChemicalApes also recommends flares because Mongol Nibblers can hunt in packs near the wreck and plant field.

If your goal is Strong Acid rather than only locating the plant, bring a Scanner too. The Strong Acid guide shows the Processor inside the Welcome Home Base route, and you need that blueprint before the cysts become a usable craft.

Lifepod 345 Degree Necrolei Cyst Route

The ChemicalApes route starts at the Lifepod and goes just shy of north, around a 345 degree bearing. Travel about 280 meters from the Lifepod and descend toward roughly 40 meters depth. The route passes a wreck before reaching the plant field.

Once you pass the wreck, continue slightly north and look down into the purple plant area. The Necrolei Cyst plants sit around the same zone, with several extra cysts scattered nearby rather than only one fixed pickup.

1. Start at the Lifepod with the Multi-Tool equipped.
2. Face just shy of north, around 345 degrees.
3. Travel about 280 meters from the Lifepod.
4. Stay around the 40 meter depth range.
5. Use the wreck as the last obvious landmark before the cyst plants.
6. Descend just beyond the wreck into the purple plant area.
7. Use the Multi-Tool on the Necrolei Cyst plants and collect several before returning.

Welcome Home Base and Stilt Orb Necrolei Cyst Route

The Chupacabra Tutorials location route starts beside the Lifepod and aims toward the giant monolith or growing tree landmark. Pass the Angel Comb area used for food digestion, then look for the ravine beside broken rubble that drops into a whirlpool current.

Follow the current until you reach the broken settlement marked as Welcome Home Base. Refill oxygen there if needed, then swim up toward the purple glowing tree or jellyfish-like Stilt Orb plants. The Necrolei Cyst pods sit on the tops of those hanging bulbs, and the video notes that two cysts make one Strong Acid.

1. Start beside the Lifepod.
2. Travel toward the giant monolith / growing tree landmark north of the pod.
3. Pass the nearby digestion Angel Comb area.
4. Find the ravine beside broken rubble and enter the whirlpool current.
5. Follow the current to the broken settlement / Welcome Home Base area.
6. Refill oxygen at the base if needed.
7. Find the purple glowing Stilt Orb plants near the base.
8. Use the Multi-Tool to pluck cysts from the tops of the hanging pods.

Processor Blueprint and Strong Acid Crafting Loop

The Strong Acid video connects the Necrolei Cyst route with the Processor blueprint. From the same northern route, pass Camp One and drop into the gorge on the left side. The jet stream carries you toward Welcome Home Base, where you can enter the room and scan the Processor unit.

After scanning the Processor, head southwest from Welcome Home Base and look left for hairy tentacle plants with hanging balloon pods. Use the Multi-Tool on the pods to collect Necrolei Cyst, then return to a powered base, build or open the Processor, select Strong Acid, and load two cysts for each craft.

The Processor queues jobs and puts the finished Strong Acid in its output slot. It also uses a lot of power, so avoid leaving it running overnight in a solar-only base unless you have enough stored power to keep oxygen online.

1. Start north of the Lifepod near the Angel plant / Angel Comb landmark.
2. Continue north past Camp One.
3. Drop into the gorge to the left of Camp One and follow the jet stream.
4. Enter Welcome Home Base and scan the Processor unit.
5. From the base, head southwest and look left for the hairy tentacle plant cluster.
6. Use the Multi-Tool on the hanging pods to harvest Necrolei Cyst.
7. Build or open a powered Processor at your base.
8. Select Strong Acid, load two Necrolei Cyst per craft, wait for processing, then collect the output.

How to Harvest and Use Necrolei Cyst

When you find the correct plant, move close enough for the Multi-Tool interaction and harvest the cyst from the pod. Do not waste time scanning only the seabed; all three videos frame the resource as a plant harvest from the anemone or Stilt Orb area.

For Strong Acid, plan around the common recipe of two Necrolei Cyst per Strong Acid. The Strong Acid video also notes that cysts regrow, so this is a repeat farming loop: harvest a batch, process it, and return later when you need more acid.

If the first plant is empty or hard to interact with, keep moving through the same anemone field and check similar pod plants nearby. The videos show the resource clustered in the zone, not isolated to one exact plant.
